Abstract: The genus Scirtothrips Shull 1909 is characterized by small, pale, active thrips with no more than 1500 μm in length that feed generally on young leaves. Most species feed on a few host plants, while others are polyphagous, and they can be serious pests of a variety of unrelated economical crops. The new species described here has the interocellar setae in position 1/2, pmII longer than I and III and pronotal striae widely separated as in S. longipennis Bagnall 1909 and S. bounites Mound & Marullo 1996, but different in several other characters as the antennal pattern of colour, the head colour, the striae in vertex, the striae between ocelli, the striae in pronotum, the development of the tergal medial pair of setae and the number of rows of microthrichia in abdominal tergal lateral thirds.

Resumen: El género Scirtothrips Shull 1909 se caracteriza por thrips de pequeño tamaño, activos y de colores pálidos, con no más de 1500 μm de longitud que se alimentan generalmente de hojas jóvenes. La mayor parte de las especies se alimentan de unas pocas plantas hospederas, mientras que otras son polífagas, y pueden ser plagas importantes en una serie de cultivos de interés económicos no muy relacionados entre sí. La nueva especie descrita en este trabajo presenta las setas interocelares en posición 1/2, pmII más larga que la I y la III y las estrías del pronoto ampliamente separadas como en S. longipennis Bagnall 1909 y S. bounites Mound & Marullo 1996, pero se diferencia en una serie de caracteres como el patrón de coloración de la antena, el color de la cabeza, la región estriada en el vertex, las estrías entre los ocelos, las estrías del pronoto, el desarrollo de las setas tergales mediales y el número de hileras de microtrichias en los tercios laterales de los tergos abdominales.

Resumen: Se cita un nuevo reporte para Perú, Plagiometriona steinheili (Wagener, 1877) (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), citado previamente para Ecuador y Colombia. Esta especie fue registrada en la ciudad de Ayabaca, importante localidad de bosques de neblina de la Región Piura.

Abstract: Two new species of Dermestidae (Coleoptera) belonging to the Cryptorhopalum haplotes species group, Cryptorhopalum ayolasi sp. nov. from Bolivia and Cryptorhopalum bastidasi sp. nov. from Venezuela, are described, illustrated and compared with similar species.

Resumen: Se describe un caso teratológico en el ligeido chileno Oncopeltus (Erythrischius) miles (Blanchard, 1852) (Heteroptera: Lygaeidae), correspondiente a una oligomeria unilateral en la antena derecha. Se estima que esta teratosis es el resultado de la pérdida del último artejo antenal en algún estado juvenil del insecto. Se comenta, discute y analiza la distribución de esta especie y se concluye que habita desde la Región de Tarapacá hasta la Región de la Araucanía en Chile. Finalmente se entregan los primeros registros formales de especies de la subfamilia vegetal Asclepiadoideae, los cuales se cree que son el hospedero principal de O. miles a lo largo de su distribución, aunque se alimentan de otras plantas bajo ciertas circunstancias.

Abstract: A teratological case in the Chilean milkweed bug Oncopeltus (Erythrischius) miles (Blanchard, 1852) (Heteroptera: Lygaeidae) is described. The teratosis belongs to a unilateral oligomery in the right antenna. It is believed that this teratosis is the result of the missing of the last antennomere in an early instar. The distribution of the species is commented, discussed and analyzed. It is concluded that O. miles inhabits between the Tarapacá to Araucanía regions in Chile. Finally, it is formally recorded for the first time the subfamily of plants Asclepiadoideae as a host for this species. It is believed that these plants are the primary host of O. miles along its distribution. However the insect may feed on other plants under certain circumstances.

Resumen: Se presenta un estudio faunístico de los erotílidos (Coleoptera, Erotylidae) localizados en Vizcaya (Norte de la Península Ibérica). Estos coleópteros viven asociados a diversas especies de hongos, principalmente a cuerpos fructíferos de hongos del género Pleurotus. Se han hallado 4 especies pertenecientes al género Triplax Herbst, 1793, una perteneciente al género Dacne Latreille, 1796 y otra perteneciente al género Tritoma Fabricius, 1775.

Abstract: A faunistic study of the Erotylidae (Coleoptera, Erotylidae) living in Biscay (North of Iberian Peninsula) is presented. These beetles live in tree fungi, most of them associated with fungal fruit bodies of genus Pleurotus. Four species belonging to genus Triplax Herbst, 1793, one species belonging to genus Dacne Latreille, 1796, and another one belonging to genus Tritoma Fabricius, 1775 have been found in this area.

Se proporciona una breve sinopsis de las especies ibéricas y una clave actualizada de las mismas. Se considera válida la especie Myrmechixenus beturiensis (Reitter, 1880).

Abstract: Myrmechixenus vaporariorum Guérin-Méneville, 1843 (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae) is recorded for the first time in the Iberian Peninsula, in the province of Cadiz (Southern Spain). The work is completed with a brief overview and an updated key to the identification of the Iberian species. Myrmechixenus beturiensis (Reitter, 1880) is considered a valid species.

Resumen: Se describe el Dorcatominae Stagetus espadanensis n. sp. (Coleoptera: Ptinidae: Dorcatominae) del Parque Natural de la Sierra de Espadán, Castellón (Península Ibérica). Los ejemplares fueron recolectados en un estudio sobre la biodiversidad de coleópteros saproxílicos del Parque, realizado por el Centro Iberoamericano de la Biodiversidad (CIBIO), de la Universidad de Alicante. Se acompaña la modificación de las claves ibéricas del grupo de Stagetus hirtulus Wollaston, 1861, especies sin calo humeral, al que pertenece la nueva especie. La descripción se complementa con la representación gráfica del habitus y detalles morfológicos de la nueva especie y de sus oponentes ibéricos, así como de su ubicación geográfica.

Abstract:  The Dorcatominae Stagetus espadanensis n. sp. (Coleoptera: Ptinidae: Dorcatominae) from Natural Park of the Sierra de Espadán, Castellón (Iberian Peninsula) is described. The specimens were collected in a study on the biodiversity of saproxylic beetles of the Park, carried out by the Centro Iberoamericano de la Biodiversidad (CIBIO) of the University of Alicante. The modification of the Iberian key to the Stagetus hirtulus Wollaston, 1861 species-group, species without humeral projection, to which the new species belongs, is given. The description is complemented with the graphical representation of the habitus and morphological features of the new species and the Iberian related species, and its geographic location.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to determine the species diversity of Carabidae found during expeditions to some provinces of Tunisia between 2012 and 2013. In total 105 species and subspecies within 59 genera belonging to 11 subfamilies of Carabidae are reported. Endemic elements are indicated and information on the Tunisian distribution of each species is also given.

Resumen: El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la diversidad de especies de Carabidae encontradas durante las expediciones a algunas provincias de Túnez entre 2012 y 2013. En total se citan 105 especies y subespecies de 59 géneros pertenecientes a 11 subfamilias de Carabidae. Se indican los elementos endémicos y se da información sobre la distribución en Túnez de cada especie.

Abstract: The Thar Desert plays an important role in the agro-economy of the districts of Umerkot and Tharparkar (Pakistan). In this desert extensive surveys on the occurrence of the desert locust Schistocerca gregaria (Forskål, 1775) (Acrididae: Orthoptera) were carried out during the year from June 2014 to May 2015. 243 scattered individuals were captured in crop and non-crop fields indicating solitarious phase. The incidence of this destructive species along the summer monsoon season was high with 205 specimens (84%). But the collection of such a great number of individuals in solitarious phase may lead to the conversion into gregarious phase which is responsible for formation of swarms.

Resumen: El desierto de Thar desempeña un importante papel en la agroeconomía de los distritos de Umerkot y Tharparkar (Pakistán). En este desierto se llevaron a cabo extensos estudios sobre la existencia de la langosta del desierto Schistocerca gregaria (Forskål, 1775) (Acrididae: Orthoptera) durante el año de junio de 2014 a mayo de 2015. Se capturaron 243 ejemplares dispersos en campos de cultivo y terrenos no cultivados, señal de estar en fase solitaria. La incidencia de esta destructiva especie a lo largo del monzón de verano fue alta, con 205 ejemplares y un 84%. Pero la captura de tan elevado número de individuos en fase solitaria puede ser indicio de la conversión a fase gregaria, que es la responsable de la formación de plaga.

Resumen: Se examina y revisa todo el material del “grupo plumaria” del género de geométridos Selidosema Hübner, [1823] (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) procedente de Galicia y León (España, N.O. Península Ibérica) recolectado personalmente por el autor. Se cita fidedignamente por primera vez Selidosema brunnearia (Villers, 1789) para Galicia, de un enclave de afloramientos calizos de la Serra do Courel (Lugo), describiéndose esta población, tan alejada del resto de las ibéricas, como nueva subespecie. Incluimos comentarios diversos, especialmente sobre la estructura genital de los machos de las especies de dicho grupo.

Abstract: All material belonging to the “plumaria group” of the geometrid moth’s genus Selidosema Hübner, [1823] from Galicia and Leon (Spain, NW Iberian Peninsula) personally collected by the author is examined and revised. Selidosema brunnearia (Villers, 1789) is reliable recorded for the first time from Galicia occurring in a place of limestone outscrops in the Serra do Courel (Lugo), being described this population, so far from the rest of the Iberian ones, as a new subespecies. Various comments, particularly on the genital structure of the males of the species group are included.

Abstract: A case of two combined anomalies in a male of Corydalus cornutus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Megaloptera: Corydalidae) from Connecticut, U.S.A. are reported. This teratological case represents the third abnormality reported in Corydalidae and is a contribution more to the knowledge of teratological insects in Connecticut.

Resumen: Se discuten los registros en la literatura de Triatoma infestans (Klug, 1834) (Heteroptera: Reduviidae: Triatominae) en el sur de Chile. Se entrega un registro de la Región de Los Lagos, y se concluye que estos registros corresponden a ejemplares esporádicos que viajan con humanos y no han logrado hasta el momento establecer una población viable. Sin embargo estos registros deben ser considerados en el contexto de su posible impacto en la salud pública.

Abstract: The literature records of Triatoma infestans (Klug, 1834) (Heteroptera: Reduviidae: Triatominae) from southern Chile are discussed. A new record from Los Lagos Region is provided. It is concluded that these records are the result of isolated specimens traveling with humans, which have failed so far to establish a viable population. However, these records have to be considered in the context of its eventual impact on public health.

Resumen: Se estudia un grupo de especies afines del género Cebrio Olivier, 1790 (Coleoptera, Elateridae) del sur de la Península Ibérica: C. amorii Graells, 1851, C. anthracinus Chevrolat, 1874, C. dufourii Graells, 1851, C. elenacompteae Compte, 1988, C. getschmanni Chevrolat, 1872 y C. puberulus Chevrolat, 1874. Se concluye que todas son la misma especie, C. amorii Graells, 1851, pasando las otras a ser sinonimias.

Abstract: A group of allied species of the genus Cebrio Olivier, 1790 (Coleoptera, Elateridae) from the South of the Iberian Peninsula is studied: C. amorii Graells, 1851, C. anthracinus Chevrolat, 1874, C. dufourii Graells, 1851, C. elenacompteae Compte, 1988, C. getschmanni Chevrolat, 1872, and C. puberulus Chevrolat, 1874. It is concluded that all are the same species, C. amorii Graells, 1851, becoming synonyms the others.

Abstract: This note deals with the weevil fauna (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea) of the small Greek island of Gavdos, 40 km south of Crete and the southernmost point of Europe, from where only one species of this family of coleopterans was previously known. Twenty-four species belonging to 3 families and 16 genera were collected and identified, being all but one new records for the island. Two new species are described: Styphlus (Styphlus) fontis n. sp., very similar to the Sicilian S. vidanoi Osella & Zuppa, 1994, and Coenopsimorphus europaeus n. sp., the first European species of this North African genus, close to C. desbrochersi Pic, 1904 from Algeria and very similar also to C. porculus Desbrochers, 1897 from Algeria, Libya and Tunisia.

Resumen: Este trabajo trata sobre la fauna de gorgojos de la pequeña isla griega de Gavdos, a unos 40 km al sur de Creta y punto más meridional de Europa, y de la cual sólo se conocía una especie de esta familia de coleópteros. Se capturaron e identificaron 24 especies pertenecientes a 3 familias y 16 géneros, todas primeras citas para la isla menos una. Se describen dos nuevas species: Styphlus (Styphlus) fontis n. sp., muy parecida a S. vidanoi Osella & Zuppa, 1994 de Sicilia, y Coenopsimorphus europaeus n. sp., la primera especie europea del género, próxima a C. desbrochersi Pic, 1904 de Argelia y muy semejante también a C. porculus Desbrochers, 1897 de Argelia, Libia y Túnez.

Resumen: Se informa de la primera observación del geométrido Campaea margaritaria (Linnaeus, 1761) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae: Ennominae) en la provincia de Málaga, concretamente en la Sierra Blanca de Ojén. Se aportan fotografía y mapa de distribución de esta especie en Andalucía.

Abstract: The first observation of the geometrid Campaea margaritaria (Linnaeus, 1761) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae: Ennominae) in the province of Málaga, in Sierra Blanca-Ojén, is reported. Photography and distribution map of this species in Andalusia are provided.

Abstract: An observation of a nymph feeding on an adult female of Stiretrus anchorago (Fabricius, 1775) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae: Asopinae) is reported. Additional information on the ecology and the distribution of this species as well as of the genus Stiretrus Laporte, 1833 is also given.

Resumen: Se informa sobre una observación de una ninfa alimentándose de una hembra adulta de Stiretrus anchorago (Fabricius, 1775) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae: Asopinae). Se aporta también información adicional sobre la ecología y la distribución de esta especie y del género Stiretrus Laporte, 1833.

Resumen: Se aportan registros de cuatro especies de Coleoptera (Cerambycidae y Vesperidae) para Galicia (N.O. de la Península Ibérica): Arhopalus syriacus (Reitter, 1895), Stictoleptura (Stictoleptura) maculicornis (De Geer, 1775), Saperda carcharias (Linnaeus, 1758) y Vesperus joanivivesi Vives, 1998. Se incluye asimismo un breve comentario sobre su biología y distribución ibérica. Saperda carcharias (L.) se cita para Galicia por primera vez.

Abstract: Records of four species of Coleoptera (Cerambycidae and Vesperidae): Arhopalus syriacus (Reitter, 1895), Stictoleptura (Stictoleptura) maculicornis (De Geer, 1775), Saperda carcharias (Linnaeus, 1758) and Vesperus joanivivesi Vives, 1998, are reported from Galicia (NW Iberian Peninsula). A brief comment on their biology and Iberian distribution is included as well. Saperda carcharias (L.) is recorded for Galicia for the first time.

Resumen: En el presente trabajo se pone al día el catálogo de la familia Elateridae en la Península Ibérica e Islas Baleares con la actualización de la sistemática de las especies inventariadas y la incorporación de nuevas citas y localizaciones que complementa la distribución de las especies. Se amplía el área de distribución de 44 de las especies inventariadas.

Abstract: In this paper the catalogue of the family Elateridae in the Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands is updated with new systematic and new provincial records of species. The Iberian distribution range of 44 of the inventaried species is enlarged.

Resumen: Se aborda el estudio de los límites biogeográficos y la posición sistemática de Iberodorcadion mosqueruelense Escalera, 1902, I. grustani González, 1992 e I. seguntianum ssp. belbezei Escalera, 1914 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae). Se aportan nuevos datos sobre la taxonomía, morfología y distribución de estos taxones tomando en consideración la hipótesis de la contigüidad o corte entre poblaciones, especies y subespecies.

Abstract: In this paper the limits and systematic position of Iberodorcadion mosqueruelense Escalera, 1902, I. grustani González, 1992 and I. seguntianum ssp. belbezei Escalera, 1914 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) are studied. New data on the taxonomy, morphology and distribution of these taxa considering the hypothesis of contiguity or cut between populations, species and subspecies are provided.

Resumen: Se describe una nueva especie de Dorcatoma (Pilosodorcatoma) Borowski, 1999 (Coleoptera: Ptinidae: Dorcatominae) del Parque Natural de la Sierra de Espadán (Castellón). Se actualiza el contenido específico del género Dorcatoma Herbst, 1792, con 10 taxones presentes en la Península Ibérica, se modifican las claves subgenéricas y específicas, y de cada especie se indica su biología y actual área de distribución peninsular. Para complementar las claves se representan gráficamente las antenas, último artejo de los palpos maxilares y el edeago con la pieza media separada de todas las especies. También se representa el habitus del macho de todas las especies estudiadas.

Abstract: A new species of Dorcatoma (Pilosodorcatoma) Borowski, 1999 is described from the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park (Spain). The specific content of the genus Dorcatoma Herbst, 1792, with 10 taxa occurring in the Iberian Peninsula is updated, the subgeneric and specific keys are modified and, for each species, its biology and current distributional area is presented. To complement the keys, antennae, last segment of the maxillary palps and aedeagus with the middle part separated are graphically represented for all species. Male habitus is also figured for all species.

Resumen: Se describe el primer caso de una mordedura a humanos de la araña invasora Steatoda nobilis (Thorell, 1875) (Arachnida: Araneae: Theridiidae) en Chile. El caso ocurrió en la Región de la Araucanía y fue perpetrado por un macho a un hombre adulto de 37 años de edad mientras dormía, produciendo dolor, contracciones musculares y enrojecimiento local, que desaparecieron gradualmente después de aproximadamente dos horas. El reporte de Chile es similar a otros de steatodismo conocidos, pero algo más leve, lo que podría explicarse debido a que la mordedura fue perpetrada por un ejemplar macho, los que usualmente infringen mordeduras menos severas.

Abstract: The first case of biting humans is described for the invasive combfoot spider Steatoda nobilis (Thorell, 1875) (Arachnida: Araneae: Theridiidae) in Chile. The case occurred in the Araucania Region and was perpetrated by a male specimen to an adult male, 37 years old, while he was sleeping. The bite produced local pain, muscular constrictions and redness that lasted for about two hours before starting to disappear gradually. The case from Chile is similar to other steatodism cases known, but slightly less severe. This may be explained because the biting specimen was a male, which usually are less severe biters.

Resumen: Se examinaron especímenes de Notiobia (Anisotarsus) cupripennis (Germar, 1824) (Coleoptera: Carabidae: Harpalinae) colectados en ocho regiones de Perú. Esta especie fue registrada previamente en varios países sudamericanos y territorios insulares fuera del continente americano. Se realizan algunos comentarios acerca de la amplitud de hábitat de esta especie.

Abstract: Specimens of Notiobia (Anisotarsus) cupripennis (Germar, 1824) (Coleoptera: Carabidae: Harpalinae) collected in eight regions of Peru were examined. This species was previously reported in several southamerican countries and islands outside the American continent. Some remarks about the habitat breadth of this species are made.

Resumen: En este trabajo se presenta el análisis de la variación de las especies cercanas a Frankliniella bagnalliana Hood 1925, con énfasis en la especie Frankliniella inutilis Priesner 1932 (Thysanoptera: Thripidae). Se incluyen en el análisis otras especies consideradas cercanas como son Frankliniella mixteca Johansen 1981, Frankliniella mekokara Mound & Marullo 1996 y Frankliniella montanosa Retana-Salazar & Mound 1995. Se clarifica el problema de la variabilidad de las especies F. bagnalliana y F. inutilis en la que se fundamentaron Mound & Marullo para establecer la sinonimia de ambas. Gracias al estudio de los especímenes utilizados por estos autores y la revisión de material recolectado en Costa Rica y México se concluye que ambas especies son válidas por lo que se restablece la especie F. inutilis. Se presenta una discusión donde se aborda la responsabilidad asociada a la determinación de sinonimias por parte de los taxónomos.

Abstract: In this paper the analysis of the variation of species close related with Frankliniella bagnalliana Hood 1925, with emphasis on the species Frankliniella inutilis Priesner 1932 (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) is presented. Other species considered related with F. bagnalliana are included as Frankliniella mixteca Johansen 1981, Frankliniella mekokara Mound & Marullo 1996 and Frankliniella montanosa Retana-Salazar & Mound 1995. The problem of the variability of the species F. bagnalliana and F. inutilis in which Mound & Marullo were based to establish the synonymy of these species is clarified. Through the study of the specimens used by these authors and the review of material collected in Costa Rica and Mexico it is concluded that both species are valid, so that the species F. inutilis is restored. A discussion on the responsibility associated to determination of synonyms by taxonomists is presented.

Abstract: Orphinus (Orphinus) holusai sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Dermestidae: Megatominae) from Ghana is described, illustrated and compared with similar species. The new species is characterized by its elytral colour and structure of antennae.

Abstract: There is no data about the taxonomic and ecological status of the Mecopodinae from Pakistan. During a recent survey only two species, Mecopoda platyphoea Walker, 1870 and Afromecopoda monroviana (Karsch, 1886) were collected. Apart from initial taxonomic description and few geographical recording, no detailed study has been conducted within this group since 2005. In this paper a taxonomic account and illustrations of ovipositor and subgenital plate are provided.

Resumen: No hay datos sobre el status taxonómico y ecológico de los Mecopodinae (Orthoptera: Tettigonioidea: Tettigoniidae) de Pakistán. Durante un reciente muestreo se capturaron sólo dos especies, Mecopoda platyphoea Walker, 1870 y Afromecopoda monroviana (Karsch, 1886). Aparte de la descripción original y unas pocas citas, no se ha llevado a cabo ningún estudio detallado de este grupo desde 2005. En este trabajo se proporcionan información taxonómica así como ilustraciones del ovipositor y la placa subgenital.

Resumen: Se cita un nuevo reporte para Perú, Aspicela nigroviridis Guerin, 1855 (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae), citado previamente para Colombia. Esta especie fue capturada en el bosque neblina de Cuyas, importante área de bosque húmedo de montaña de la Región Piura.

Abstract: Among 158 specimens of endomychids (Coleoptera: Cucujoidea: Endomychidae), nine genera and nine species were identified for the State of Connecticut, USA. Six genera and five species are also added to a preliminary key to the Endomychidae of Connecticut because they may be found in the future.

Resumo: Entre 158 exemplares de endomiquídeos (Coleoptera: Cucujoidea: Endomychidae), identificaram-se nove géneros e nove espécies para o estado de Connecticut, Estados Unidos da América. Seis géneros e cinco espécies também são adicionados a uma chave provisória para identificação dos Endomychidae de Connecticut porque podem ser encontrados no futuro.

Resumen: Se elabora un listado comentado y puesto al día de los geométridos (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) presentes en O Courel (Lugo, Galicia, España, N.O. de la Península Ibérica), recopilando las citas bibliográficas existentes para 141 especies, a las que se añaden otras nuevas alcanzando un total de 208 especies, como resultado del trabajo de campo del autor, mayormente realizado durante el año 2015. Entre los nuevos registros aportados se incluyen siete primeras citas para Galicia: Odontopera bidentata (Clerck, 1759), Idaea rufaria (Hübner, 1799), Idaea figuraria (Bang-Haas, 1907), Idaea ostrinaria (Hübner, 1813), Scopula incanata (Linnaeus, 1758), Horisme radicaria (La Harpe, 1855) y Eupithecia breviculata (Donzel, 1837), así como 22 para la provincia de Lugo.

Abstract: An updated and annotated list of the geometrid moths (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) known to occur in O Courel (Lugo, Galicia, Spain, NW Iberian Peninsula) is made, compiling the existing bibliographic records for 141 species and reaching up to 208 species after adding new ones mainly as a result of fieldwork undertaken by the author mostly during the year 2015. Resumen: Se han estudiado 155 individuos de 34 especies de estafilínidos (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) del Parque Natural del Señorío de Bértiz, capturados durante un muestreo de coleopterofauna saproxílica. De ellas, 16 son novedades para la Comunidad Foral de Navarra (norte de España). Cuatro especies (12%), Quedius mesomelinus (Marsham, 1802), Bisnius fimetarius (Gravenhorst, 1802), Eusphalerum robustum (Heer, 1839) y Sepedophilus bipustulatus (Gravenhorst, 1802), supusieron casi el 62% de los individuos, mientras que 22 (65% de las especies) sólo estuvieron representadas por uno o dos individuos. Más del 50% de las especies censadas son saproxílicas y un 12% ripícolas. La mayor parte de las especies son generalistas en lo referente a nicho ecológico, con la excepción de algunos elementos florícolas, ripícolas y saproxílicos habitantes de oquedades de frondosas. Predominan los corotipos de rango geográfico amplio o muy amplio, siendo pocos los elementos de distribución regional.

Abstract: 155 individuals of 34 species of rove beetles from Señorío de Bértiz Natural Park collected during a sampling of saproxylic coleopteran fauna, have been studied. Of them, 16 are new for the region of Navarra (North Spain). Four species (12%), Quedius mesomelinus (Marsham, 1802), Bisnius fimetarius (Gravenhorst, 1802), Eusphalerum robustum (Heer, 1839), and Sepedophilus bipustulatus (Gravenhorst, 1802), represented almost 62% of the individuals whereas for 22 species (65%) only one two individuals were collected. More than 50% of the recorded species are saproxylic and 12% ripicolous. Regarding the ecological niche, most of the species are generalists, with the exception of some floricolous, ripicolous, and saproxylic elements inhabiting tree hollows. Dominant chorotypes are those of wide or very wide geographical range, being few the elements showing a regional distribution range.

Resumen: Se aporta una cita de Phyllognathus excavatus Forster, 1771 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) en la costa de Susa (Túnez). Resultan de interés faunístico las nuevas citas de esta especie, especialmente por la escasez de registros recientes.

Abstract: A new record of Phyllognathus excavatus Forster, 1771 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) on the coast of Sousse (Tunisia) is reported. New records of this species are of faunistic interest, especially by the scarcity of recent records.

Resumen: Se elabora un listado comentado y puesto al día de los esfíngidos (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae) presentes en O Courel (Lugo, Galicia, España, N.O. Península Ibérica), recopilando las citas bibliográficas existentes para cinco especies, a las que se añaden otras nuevas como resultado del trabajo de campo del autor, alcanzando un total de 14 especies. Entre los nuevos registros aportados se incluyen tres primeras citas para la provincia de Lugo: Sphinx maurorum (Jordan, 1931), Agrius convolvuli (Linnaeus, 1758) y Acherontia atropos (Linnaeus, 1758). Incluimos también algunas nuevas citas de esfíngidos para otras localidades del resto del territorio gallego.

Abstract: A total of 11 species of the subfamilies Ichneumoninae and Tryphoninae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) are reported in this paper as new records for the fauna of Iran. For Ichneumoninae, 6 species belonging to 4 genera, Diphyus Kriechbaumer, 1890 (1), Ichneumon Linnaeus, 1758 (3), Rictichneumon Heinrich, 1961 (1), and Vulgichneumon Heinrich, 1962 (1) and, for Tryphoninae, 5 species belonging to 4 genera, Cosmoconus Förster, 1869 (1), Ctenochira Förster, 1869 (1), Monoblastus Hartig, 1837 (1), and Tryphon Fallén, 1813 (2), are studied in this paper.

Resumen:  Se citan por primera vez para la fauna de Irán un total de 11 especies de las subfamilias Ichneumoninae y Tryphoninae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae). Se estudian en este trabajo 6 especies pertenecientes a 4 géneros de Ichneumoninae, Diphyus Kriechbaumer, 1890 (1), Ichneumon Linnaeus, 1758 (3), Rictichneumon Heinrich, 1961 (1) y Vulgichneumon Heinrich, 1962 (1) y 5 especies pertenecientes a 4 géneros de Tryphoninae, Cosmoconus Förster, 1869 (1), Ctenochira Förster, 1869 (1), Monoblastus Hartig, 1837 (1) y Tryphon Fallén, 1813 (2).

Abstract: A recent record of Dysodius lunatus (Fabricius, 1794) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Aradidae: Mezirinae) in Costa Rica is reported. Additional information on the distribution and the ecology of this species as well as of the genus Dysodius Lepeletier & Serville, 1828 is also given. This is the fifteenth part of a series of publications about different Heteroptera in Costa Rica.

Resumen: Se reporta un hallazgo reciente de Dysodius lunatus (Fabricius, 1794) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Aradidae: Mezirinae) en Costa Rica. Se aporta también información adicional sobre la distribución y la ecología de esta especie y del género Dysodius Lepeletier & Serville, 1828. Esta es la decimoquinta parte de una serie de publicaciones sobre diferentes heterópteros en Costa Rica.

Abstract: The following new species belonging to the nominotypical subgenus Orphinus (Coleoptera: Dermestidae: Megatominae) from India are described, illustrated and compared with related species: Orphinus (Orphinus) crassus sp. nov. (Tamil Nadu), Orphinus (Orphinus) cardamom sp. nov. (Kerala), Orphinus (Orphinus) vattiari sp. nov. (Kerala). The species Orphinus horni Pic, 1927 syn. nov., is newly synonymized with Orphinus minor Arrow, 1915. The species Orphinus (Falsoorphinus) yeti Háva, 2008 is newly recorded from Meghalaya. A key to the known species from India is presented.

Resumen: Se describen las siguientes nuevas especies de India pertenecientes al subgénero nominotípico Orphinus (Coleoptera: Dermestidae: Megatominae): Orphinus (Orphinus) crassus sp. nov. (Tamil Nadu), Orphinus (Orphinus) cardamom sp. nov. (Kerala), Orphinus (Orphinus) vattiari sp. nov. (Kerala), y se ilustran y comparan con especies relacionadas. Se sinonimiza la especie Orphinus horni Pic, 1927 syn. nov. con Orphinus minor Arrow, 1915. La especie Orphinus (Falsoorphinus) yeti Háva, 2008 es citada por primera vez de Meghalaya. Se presenta una clave de las especies conocidas de India.

Resumen: Se analiza la situación del complejo de Acledra (Acledra) albocostata (Spinola, 1852) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae). Se concluye que este complejo esta formado por tres subespecies: la subespecie nominal, del centro-sur de Chile; Acledra (Acledra) albocostata carinata Breddin, 1914 n. stat., del sur de Chile; y Acledra (Acledra) albocostata lueri n. ssp. de la Patagonia chileno-argentina. Se entregan nuevas localidades y un mapa de distribución. Se discute y analiza la distribución de este complejo.

Abstract: The current situation of the Acledra (Acledra) albocostata (Spinola, 1852) complex is analyzed (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae). It is concluded that this complex is composed of three subspecies: the nominotypical subspecies occurs in south-central Chile; Acledra (Acledra) albocostata carinata Breddin, 1914 n. stat., occurs in southern Chile; and Acledra (Acledra) albocostata lueri n. ssp., occurs in the Chilean-Argentinean Patagonia. New records are provided as well as a distribution map. The distribution of this complex is analyzed and discussed.

Resumen: Se cita por primera vez el noctuido Cucullia gnaphalii (Hübner, 1813) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae: Cucullinae) en el noroeste de la Península Ibérica (Asturias y Galicia), con datos sobre su biología que amplían el periodo de vuelo desde mayo a julio por encima de los 1.300 m.

Abstract: The noctuid moth Cucullia gnaphalii (Hübner, 1813) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae: Cucullinae) is recorded in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula (Asturias and Galicia) for the first time, with new data on its biology increasing its flight period from May to July above 1,300 m.

Resumen: Se cita por primera vez el limántrido Ocneria rubea (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) en Galicia y se aporta una nueva cita de Dicallomera fascelina (Linnaeus, 1758) (Noctuoidea: Erebidae: Lymantriinae), especie poco conocida en la Península Ibérica. Otras especies interesantes capturadas en Paderne, Serra do Courel, y alrededores de Degrada, Serra dos Ancares, son Euproctis chrysorrhoea (Linnaeus, 1758), E. similis (Fuessly, 1775) y Calliteara pudibunda (Linnaeus, 1758), especies hasta ahora desconocidas en la provincia de Lugo.

Abstract: The lymantrid moth Ocneria rubea (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) is recorded from Galicia (Spain) for the first time and a new record of Dicallomera fascelina (Linnaeus, 1758) (Noctuoidea: Erebidae: Lymantriinae), a little known species in the Iberian Peninsula is also reported. Other interesting species collected in Paderne (Serra do Courel) and the surrounding area of Degrada (Serra dos Ancares) were Euproctis chrysorrhoea (Linnaeus, 1758), E. similis (Fuessly, 1775) and Calliteara pudibunda (Linnaeus, 1758) not known up to now in the province of Lugo.

Resumen: Se aportan nuevos datos de 22 especies dentro de la familia Geometridae (Lepidoptera), capturadas en la localidad de Paderne en la Serra do Caurel (Lugo) que incrementan el catálogo de Galicia hasta 251 especies. Entre los nuevos registros para la sierra destacan los endemismos ibéricos Perconia baeticaria (Staudinger, 1871) y Xanthorhoe iberica (Staudinger, 1901), y la primera cita para Galicia de Eupithecia dodoneata Guenée, 1858.

Abstract: Twenty-two new records of moths belonging to the family Geometridae (Lepidoptera) collected in the locality of Paderne in Serra do Caurel (Lugo) are reported, increasing the catalog of Galician up to 251 species. Among the new records for Serra do Caurel, the Iberian endemisms Perconia baeticaria (Staudinger, 1871) and Xanthorhoe iberica (Staudinger, 1901) and the first record of Eupithecia dodoneata Guenée, 1858 for Galicia are noteworthy.
